If you have had the pleasure of using the official Twitter app for iPhone, you probably updated it one day and noticed that they added what they call a QuickBar. What the QuickBar was designed to do was show a constant barrage of trending hash tags. There was no option to remove the QuickBar from your timeline whether you cared about trending topics or not. This caused a massive uproar in the Twitter community and eventually lead to the QuickBar being nicknamed the "DickBar" which was aptly derived from the name of CEO Dick Costolo.
It was so hated by one iOS developer, chpwn, the he took the matter into his own hands and released an exclusive tweak for jailbroken iPhones known as Twizzler. Twizzler removed the annoying QuickBar from the timeline and restored sanity for all, well mostly all. If you didn't have a jailbroken iPhone you were pretty much left to revel in your frustrations. Well, as of March 31, 2011, with the release of version 3.3.3 of the Twitter app the QuickBar is no more!
Or so we think...........Cydia to the rescue!...
